The session covered the status of active working group drafts, liaison agreements, and progressed several key items, including DWDM interfaces, WDM tunnels, Microwave links, and performance monitoring streaming. The working group also discussed several new proposals addressing the intersection of optical networks, service level agreements (SLAs), and artificial intelligence (AI) computing orchestration. The agenda was bashed prior to the session to accommodate traveling constraints, moving the Microwave Radio Link presentation to the third slot. --- ## Key Discussion Points ### 1. Informative liaisons from ITU-T were received regarding IMT-2020/2030 and optical networking for AI orchestration. * Dhruv Dhody noted that a liaison towards ITU-T regarding performance monitoring (PM) work is being prepared in coordination with the IPPM working group. --- ### 2. A complete JSON example was added to the appendix. * Oscar Gonzalez de Dios asked whether there is a relationship with the Inventory (IV) topology work. Roberto Manzotti replied that this is primarily a controller-to-device model, and topology-level mapping should inherit the interface connection. Ramon Casellas agreed. * Next steps include addressing a final minor comment regarding default values for read-only data, updating references to RFCs, and proceeding to Working Group Last Call (WGLC). --- ### 3. Gaps were identified around the definition of regeneration layers, digital termination, and inverse multiplexing types. * The authors hold weekly meetings to finalize these scenarios and address outstanding routing director and YANG doctor comments. --- ### 4. Daniele Ceccarelli suggested moving the individual to the acknowledgements section to clear the block and proceed with a working group adoption call. --- ### 5. Bin Ye agreed to update the draft from Informational to Standards Track. Dieter Beller asked for clarification on the split, which Daniele Ceccarelli explained was necessary to ensure the foundational pieces are generic enough for wider IETF use. --- ### 8. Daniele Ceccarelli agreed but cautioned that CCAMP cannot formally reference the NMA framework until it becomes an adopted work item. * Christian Schmutzer questioned the necessity of introducing new "agent" terminology when standard Netconf/YANG mechanisms already handle these interactions. Henry Yu responded that NMA standardizes how AI agents extend ACTN for service assurance and how those agents are managed. Daniele Ceccarelli suggested moving the architectural scope discussion to the mailing list. --- ### 9. Adrian Farrel advised the authors to review and align with CATS metric definitions first. * Donald Fedyk suggested evaluating the update frequency and distribution of these parameters, as some highly dynamic metrics may not be suitable for OSPF-TE. --- ### 11. Haomian Zheng agreed it is a solid starting point for evaluating computational-aware transport. --- ## Decisions and Action Items * **Decisions**: * The working group agreed to move the unreachable Microwave draft contributor to the acknowledgements section in order to resolve the IPR block and proceed. * **Action Items**: * **Roberto Manzotti**: Submit a new revision of `draft-ietf-ccamp-dwdm-if-param-yang` addressing routing directory comments on default values to prepare for WGLC. * **Bin Ye**: Update the PM streaming draft from Informational to Standards Track. * **SLA/NMA/OSPF/ONCO Authors**: Cross-coordinate with the relevant working groups (TEAS, LSR, CATS, IPPM) to align metrics and architectures. --- ## Next Steps 1. Progress `draft-ietf-ccamp-dwdm-if-param-yang` to WGLC once the minor updates are published. 2. Launch the working group adoption call for the Microwave Radio Link draft after resolving the IPR list. 3. Monitor IPPM's adoption of the PM streaming framework to trigger the subsequent CCAMP PM streaming adoption.
