- Greg Mirsky questioned why a YANG model/management plane interface is not used instead. He also highlighted that in an ECMP environment, the path traversed by LSP Ping might not match the path of actual data flows, calling into question the validity of the collected capability constraints. Greg Mirsky advised against using normative language in the draft.
- Fabian Sowa responded that YANG models and LSP Ping can coexist, as LSP Ping exercises the actual data path. He acknowledged the ECMP challenge and agreed it needs further study in future revisions.

- Greg Mirsky raised a concern regarding data plane behavior: if an NRP is not properly configured, data packets are typically dropped. He questioned why OAM packets would be treated differently (punted to the control plane) rather than also being dropped.
- Li Yan responded that OAM packets rely on existing exception mechanisms, such as TTL expiration or router alerts, to reach the control plane.
- Greg Mirsky suggested that defining a new Forwarding Equivalence Class (FEC) for NRP might be necessary to verify configuration status.
- Zafar Ali commented that NRP functions similarly to DSCP/EXP. He suggested that operators can simply prepare a packet with a specific NRP ID and use standard OAM mechanisms to detect where it breaks, without introducing extra complexity.
- Li Yan clarified that the proposal's intent is to reuse existing OAM mechanisms rather than introducing new ones.
6. Explicit Congestion Notification Using MPLS Network Actions

Discussion:
- Joel Halpern presented a proposal to carry ECN in MNA (both in-stack and post-stack). This resolves a limitation in RFC 5129, where ECN markings consume Traffic Class (EXP) bits and conflict with QoS markings.
- Adrian Farrel (speaking as an individual) clarified that this model mirrors standard IP ECN behavior (congestion-experienced markings propagated from intermediate nodes to the egress, which then notifies the ingress).
- Shuyang Yang expressed strong support for the draft, noting its value for L4S deployments, but questioned why separate opcodes were designated for ISD and PSD.
- Joel Halpern and Greg Mirsky agreed that following early IANA review feedback, the draft will be updated to use a single consolidated opcode for both ISD and PSD.

- Himanshu Shah raised a question regarding EXP/Traffic Class bit propagation on the label stack. Pavan Beeram agreed to add clarifying text on EXP propagation to the draft.

Discussion:
